Setting up the Bennington to burn air from outside the house

OUTSIDE AIR SUPPLIED FROM VENTILATED CRAWLSPACE
Bolt optional outside air adapter to Bennington at bottom rear. Attach a length of 3" rigid or flexible aluminum pipe to the intake collar with a 3" pipe clamp, then elbow down through a 3-1/8" hole in the floor behind the stove, extending the pipe below the floor joists and insulation. Caulk around the pipe where it penetrates the floor and use silicone cement to glue on a piece of 1/4" wire rodent mesh at the bottom.
OUTSIDE AIR SUPPLIED THROUGH BACKWALL
Bolt optional outside air adapter to Bennington at bottom rear. Attach a length of 3" rigid or flexible aluminum intake pipe to the intake collar with a 3" pipe clamp, extend through a 3-1/8" hole in the outside wall behind the stove. Attach a standard 3" dryer vent termination on the outside of the wall, removing the flapper plate and substituting a piece of 1/4" rodent mesh silicone-cemented in place.
