INSTALLING THE INTAKE / EXHAUST LINER KIT

Flues up to 17' Tall: Stretch the 35' length of aluminum flex liner included in the liner kit to its full length, cut it in half, and attach the two lengths to the intake and exhaust ports on the adapter box with silicone sealant and pipe clamps. Silicone the sealer plate to the top of the chimney. Fish the lengths down through the plate and the fireplace damper below. Attach the adapter box to the sealer plate with sheet metal screws and twist-lock the rain cap on. Down below, use clamps and silicone sealant to attach the liners to the intake and exhaust ports on the insert.

Flues 17' - 30' Tall: Cut the exhaust liner from the 35' flex length, attach it to the exhaust port on the adapter box with a pipe clamp and silicone sealant. Fish the liner down through the sealer plate and the fireplace damper below. Silicone the sealer plate to the chimney top, attach the adapter box to the sealer plate with sheet metal screws and twist-lock the rain cap on. Down below, clamp and silicone seal the exhaust liner to the insert's exhaust port. Attach the remaining length of liner to the intake port, curl the top over and insert it up through the fireplace damper.

GAS HOOKUP: A 24" length of 3/8" standard pipe thread flex connector (supplied with unit) exits the insert near the bottom of the right side. Make the gas connection while the insert is on hearth, attach the surround panels, then slide the insert into place.
